Nix the panda noses!

I was playing around with Photoshop this morning, making some of my color photos into black and white photos. Don't you just love black and white photos? Yes, I know, I'm supposed to be in the studio working on bears. Here's the thing though.....I seem to be uninterested in working today. Perhaps it's because I was having so much trouble yesterday with a certain panda's nose! Yes, that's it!!

Certainly it can't be because later this afternoon I'll be going to an antique faire. It's a new antique faire....the 1st annual Antiques & Art at Rolling Rock Farm. Doesn't that sound intriguing? Some of my favorite vendors will be there!!

And then there's the Aurora antique faire tomorrow. Oh, and then there are birthday celebrations on Sunday!! How can one expect this silly blonde chick to stay focused on stitching a panda nose that really doesn't want to cooperate when there are so many other fun and lovely things to do this weekend? I ask you. Could you stay focused on stitching teddy bear noses?

Warmest bear hugs, Aleta

Aleta - I recently found your blog. You must live somewhere not too far from me if you're going to Antiques & Art at Rolling Rock Farm and the Aurora Antique Faire. Aurora is 3 miles from my house. I'm in Canby. Where are you? My dear mother, my sister-in-law and I plan to go to Willow Nest for our very first time next Saturday. Will you be there? I enjoy your blog and will visit again soon. ~Adrienne~

P.S. - I forgot to I missed the Aurora Antique Fair this year. I hostessed a family baby shower here at my home for my dear daughter-in-law. Next time I'll check the 'event' calendar of all the things I love to do before I schedule anything! LOL. ~Adrienne~

Hello Adrienne,
Oh my, yes!! I will definitely be at Willow Nest on Saturday....early buying, of course!! You are in for such a treat!! Linda and Ludmil and all the vendors are just fabulous people.....and they find the most lovely treasures to share with everyone!!

I know just where Canby is!! I'm up in the East hills of Portland....taking the Sunnyside Road exit. We just moved here 2 1/2 years ago from Seattle. We absolutely LOVE Oregon!! I mean really, what's not to love? Okay, well, maybe the occassional ice storm in the winter!! But that's really pretty rare so that probably doesn't even count!!

Oh, hey! Are you going to the Oregon City antique faire on the 26th? What about the biggie in Coberg in September? So many faires!!!

Warmest bear hugs, Aleta

Hi, Aleta -
You really aren't very far from me. I used to work on Sunnybrook near Costco. My doctor is just off Sunnyside (not at Kaiser).

I don't know if I'll get to the Oregon City faire this year or not because of another family commitment. I don't know about Coburg. Too bad Aurora was a disappointment for you. It depends on what you are looking for and it's different each year, I'm sure.

I know I'll enjoy Willow Nest. Unfortunately I can't be there for early buying this year, as I would like to be. My dear mother is diabetic and she can't eat earlier so we can get there early. She is so excited to go and she is very important to me so I'll go early another time - if there is one. Do you know where Linda and Ludmil are going when their place sells? She mentioned that in the email update but I didn't know they were selling.

I was born in Everett and spent the first few years of my life in the Seattle area. I'm truly and Oregonian now but always feel my roots when I go north.

Have a beary good day.
