The Last Pink Wednesday for 2008!

Wow. What a year, huh? I, for one, am glad to be leaving this past year in the dust. To say this past year was a year of challenges, is putting it lightly. Remember the bear?!! The REAL bear!! Who would have thought? It seems like just a bad dream now. However, we got through it and we have such delightful things and wonderous blessings to look forward to in the New Year!

I'm leaving this last Pink Wednesday of 2008 with a photo I took of a rose on the property at Mt. Pleasant. Bittersweet, it reminds me of all of the truly fabulous people I had a chance to meet while we were there. What a blessing!

I believe everything happens for a reason, and that each step we take, is a step we're meant to take. We learned some hard lessons. We also came away with the knowledge that we are, indeed, much stronger than we think and that family will always be there when we need them.

Another lesson learned? I really missed designing and creating my bears!! I'm back on track now though and will be introducing new bears again very soon. Yay!!

Warmest Pink Wednesday wishes and bear hugs, Aleta

Hi Aleta,
Happy "almost" New Year! I hope 2009 is everything you hope for.
Funny, you're wanting to get back to bears and I'm feeling like I'm done with them. I got a new Imac for Xmas with Photoshop Elements 7 and I would love to find a job of some kind working with photos. I don't think I've ever found anything I love so much.

Lovely Rose Aleta! Well done...I am proud of you. ;-) Maybe you should enter your photos in the American Rose Society contest. You need to be a member though....I can hook you up.

Happy New Year!

Beautiful rose, and touching post, Aleta!
You are a strong woman, so keep your chin up and keep going- I love the motto of Louisa May Alcott I treasure on my blog sidebar: 'Far away there in the sunshine are my brightest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them and try to follow where they lead'.
Hugs to you,
