Fat Quarters

Here's a little peek at the sweet little fat quarters I've been collecting for my Storybook Bears line. Three styles seem to be emerging from the stack. Polka Dotties, Rosie Posies and ????. I haven't thought of a name for the Aunt Gracie prints yet. I'm sure something will come to me. Think, think, think.

I placed an order with InterCal for more mohair this morning. The lighter colors seem appropriate for these little bears....cream, old ivory, antique peach, golden and white. They even had a lavendar tipped cream color. I don't know if it will work for the Storybook Bears line but it sure sounded lovely! I only bought a small piece to give it a try. I hope I'm not sorry I didn't buy a gob of it!

Warmest bear hugs, Aleta

P.S. Thank you to everyone peeking in! Bless you for your comments. I've finally figured out how to respond to your comments now too! It sometimes takes me awhile to figure out the simplest little thing. (sigh)

Hi Aleta,
Wish you were doing the Doll and Teddy Expo. The theme is "Happily Ever After." Your storybook bears would be perfect!

I collect fat quarters too. If you ever need anything different, give me a yell! I'd be happy to send you some!

Thank you, Lisa! Doll and Teddy Expo? Is that the one in D.C. in August?

Warmest hugs, Aleta

Yes, and this year I think is going to be the best in a long time. They've worked hard to pull in some big names. I'm really excited! Oh, and I should be working on the bear I promised them but I'm busy reading Blogs!!!

I love to see far quarters stacked up together. I keep buying them, but have not put them to any use. they just look so pretty grouped together!!!!

Hello dear bear friends!
Fat quarters are one of those things like potato chips....you can't have just one. You must have gobs of them!! The nice thing about fat quarters, unlike the "fat" part of the quarters, is they're calorie free!!

Warmest bear hugs, Aleta

P.S. Oh wait! Shantell? Did Skippy have her kittens?

So you buy mohair by the "sound" of the name too! I don't feel so alone now. ;)
p.s fat quarters are my friends.
