I joined a UK slimming club many...Good on you both. I joined a UK slimming club many years ago and lost 70lbs. I've kept it off for 10 years now. It was and is based on normal, filling food and lots of it! I still enjoy my wine etc but for my main diet/meals I love fish, chicken salad and veg. Makes me sound a saint, I ain't! LOL But I love these foods now. Here's a tip/secret: I have found that a $10 step-counter or Pedometer at Wal-Mart is a great way to keep track of your day. A typical day is 10,000 steps. If you add 2,000 more steps (paces) you are suppose to lose weight. Just keep moving . . . I bet you do! I found it worked.
